The other one includes XL in its title and comes with a big 6.0-inch screen. It’s not too fat but not too thin either with thickness at 8.6mm. It’s surprising to see a phone with 1.5GB of RAM as most of the phones are showing up with minimum 2GB of RAM. Another disappointing thing is the operating system which is the old Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Alcatel focused on the security of this phone and included a fingerprint scanner. Battery life might be a concern as the phone includes a 2460mAh battery. There is the Asus Zenfone Max 2016 that comes with a big 5000mAh battery.

From what we have learned so far, the Alcatel A3 will cost around AED 600 when it’s here. It’s expected to show up sometimes in April or May, 2017.

• Battery size could’ve been bigger
