After looking through many different types and brands of cameras, something about the Mark III made me want to see what it was all about. After some personal use, I realized that the focus on the camera is amazing. My photographs consistently turn out crisp and clear. One of my first impressions of the camera was that I was impressed with the grip; it wasn't rough or sturdy. The camera had an indent for you hand and a spot for you thumb to rest on. so it was comfortable to capture videos or images for hours. The setup is quick and simple and the screen is just the right fit. Some of the best times I have are taking photos of nature, events, and exciting family events; this camera hasn't disappointed me. It’s always the best time to go back and look at the most lasting memories. Having the photos be clear and looking professional when I am not a professional photographer is such a great feeling. Why pay someone to get special moments taken when you have a great camera like this that does the job for you!
The focus on this camera is what makes it worth the money. There are no focus jitters, no front focus, no back focus, all near instant and dead accurate focus with all types of lenses. The performance with this auto focus makes confident to take beautiful photos. A lot of the time, you have issues trying to focus on one certain spot; either it doesn't catch the right light or it is blurry, but not with this autofocus. After much experience, it will not disappoint you.
Ever have trouble with screens being too small or too big and it seems to be a battle to get a camera that is the right fit? The Canon EOS mark III's height is about the same as the mark II but the width is wider. The most substantial difference though with the Canon EOS mark II and Canon EOS mark III is the quality. The Canon EOS mark III contrast, color and viewing angle has all improved. This camera fits all aspects of horizontal imaging greater now. The screen has improved substantially compared to the Mark II’s with capturing pictures outside has become easier with the improvement of adjustments to better coatings for outside.
Speed and Storage
The cameras start up and operation only takes a quick second and then you’re quickly ready to go. The shutter lag and mirror black out is now a lot faster than it has been with other 5D bodies. Have issues with storage being full and having to take time out of shooting to put in a new memory card? They now have “span” cards. This means once one card is full it automatically switches to the second card. No more running out of memory at the most inconvenient time.
All around, the color has improved the way photos turn out substantially. The Mark III’s color is more neutral now, creating more natural looking pictures. Skin tones are much softer now as well due to the neutral color. The white balance has improved as well. There is no more spending hours at the computer correcting what the camera should already do for you!
The canon really changed the all-around quality that people were wanting with the Mark III. I myself am so glad I spent the money on this camera. I’m enjoying taking photos without complications and spending time adjusting settings for the right color, contrast, etc. I can upload these on the computer and rather spending my time inside correcting I have more time to be outside capturing. Compared to previous models, the upgrade to the Mark III is phenomenal.
