Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet
In recent years, Lenovo has truly made a name for themselves in the electronics world and distinguished themselves as the Chinese manufacturer to watch. This dark horse manufacturer has used innovation and top notch technology to create some of the most unique smartphones and tablets that have a very wide range of prices, features, and designs, reaching out to all spectrums of customers from the lowest end up to the most top quality devices available. By far, the Yoga Tablet has stood out from the pack and has turned out to be one of their most innovative designs yet. Now, I know you’re all itching to find out when the Yoga 2 Tablet Dubai release will be but first, learn about the design and features to draw you in even more.
Design & Features
Lenovo has drawn on customer’s feedback as well as their reaction to other similar devices and come to the conclusion that the hybrid tablets are what is in and they needed to jump in for part of the action. These hybrid devices provide the user with both a tablet experience as well as the full on laptop experience. Based on some inside information leaked to the public, we anticipate the Lenovo Yoga tablet line will feature different variations with differing screen sizes and storage capabilities. An 8”, 10”, and 13” version is expected to be available with a 1920 x 1200 resolution IPS display. This is comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S series in terms of quality, which is the standard now.
One of the best improvements on the Yoga 2 from the original is that it now comes standard with a keyboard. For a tablet whose alternate purpose is to function as a laptop, it only makes sense for the keyboard to be included. The wireless keyboard is quite well designed as well with a base curve and cylindrical kickstand which magnetically clips to the tablet. The keys will seem a tad small at first, considering the size of the screen but for recreational use, its purpose is well served.
On all the different variations of the tablet, there is a Micro USB port, a microSD slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fact that there is no full sized USB port is slightly disappointing and surprising but understandable for the size of the tablet and the sleekness that Lenovo was going for. The differences between the smaller sized versions and the 13 inch is not substantial but still worth mentioning. The larger tablet will run on the same hardware but have a QHD resolution screen as well as a 5W subwoofer and a built-in pico projector. The different sizes will go for different prices ranging from around AED 700 and AED 1100 depending on the size and version you choose. These are the prices for the Android version but word has it there will also be a Windows version for which prices are not yet released.
The Bottom Line
The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 lineup appears to be quite impressive and should suit anyone’s need for a hybrid tablet/laptop. The versatility and functionality is quite surprising and will create an ease of use that everyone’s looking for. It’s great to hear that the new versions will come standard with a keyboard while still staying at an affordable cost that fits everyone’s budget. The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Dubai release date is not confirmed, but we are convinced it will be by the end of October.
